FR-1418 Optics alignment tolerance
The optics alignment tool that comes with the FR-1418 is machined to have a 0.001 inch gap with a 0.001 inch biased tolerance.
This tool is used to confirm the optics alignment of the system to within ±0.0015 inch.
NOTE: The Hakko FR-1418 BGA Rework System is designed so that once the optics are set during the manufacturing of the system, no further alignment is necessary unless the unit has been damaged or the optics have been otherwise tampered with. Before attempting any adjustment of the optics, ALWAYS verify alignment with the use of the included optics alignment tool first.
