American Hakko Products, Inc.
Product Warranty

PLEASE READ THIS PRODUCT WARRANTY VERY CAREFULLY

American Hakko Products, Inc. warrants that all HAKKO and CHP brand products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of purchase, provided that no warranty shall apply to products that have been damaged, altered, abused, improperly installed, improperly maintained, repaired after purchase, or have had their identification markings removed or altered in any way. Use of non-HAKKO components will void this warranty if that component is defective or is a contributing factor to the defect. The electronic portion of the product shall be warranted for a longer period as specified below. No warranty shall apply to any product or component part that is subject to normal wear during use (such as tips, nozzle, blades, fuses, metal parts, filters, brushes, and the like). All warranties are not transferable.

American Hakko’s warranty obligation shall be limited to repairing or replacing any product determined to be defective. Replacements may include new or factory refurbished products. American Hakko reserves the right to inspect any product to determine whether or not such product has failed due to a defect in material or workmanship and all warranty claims must also comply with the PROCEDURES FOR WARRANTY CLAIMS set forth below. Onsite labor costs are specifically excluded under this warranty.

REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT AS PROVIDED UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY CLAIMANT.  AMERICAN HAKKO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR INDIRECT DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE ANY PRODUCT.  EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN.  AMERICAN HAKKO’S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THIS WARRANTY (WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), PRODUCT LIABILITY OR OTHERWISE) SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT.  No American Hakko dealer, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification or extension to this warranty.

Because some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential or incidental damages, or allow limitations on how long an implied warrant lasts, the above limitations may not apply in each case.  This warranty gives specific legal rights, and claimants may have other rights which vary from state to state.
